Suggest Treatment For IBS And Constipation
I just read that Mineral Oil should not be taken by older adults. I am 83 years of age and have IBS with constipation. In spite of taken citrucel twice daily and stool softeners, I still have trouble daily. Could it be safe to try Mienral Oil. I remembered from a child.

Yes, you can try with mineral oil, glycerin supposritories or somotic laxatives. However, appropriate diet with high fibres may be most important factor as well as adequate intake of fluids so this should not be disregareded
