Suggest Treatment For HBsAg Positive During Pregnancy

hello sir
my name is biki.my wife is 3 months pregenant and blood report showed she has HBsAg positive.doctor says that delivery can be done and after delivery baby need to be injected.so sir i am very confused and nervous.what is the treatment for mother and baby?will my wife be cure or she should abort the baby? pls sir reply me soon.

Hi, I have gone through your question. HbsAg positive means that your wife is infected with the Hepatitis B virus.The infection can be acute or chronic.
The acute infection has to be treated. The chronic infection needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly in pregnancy. The baby needs
To be vaccinated with hepatitisB immunoglobulin and hepatitis B vaccine at birth.
There is no adverse fetal effects on this infection during pregnancy and no need to abort for this reason.
