Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If you have very severe symptoms as you mentioned you definitely need surgery in terms of discectomy and fusion, however till then start taking Gabapentin with nortriptyline, take muscle relaxants, do not lift any weight, give hot fomentation and do isometric neck exercises

After these evaluations will be needed how much you get relieved for planning for surgery if required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Jaideep Gaver,
