Suggest Therapy For Depression Followed By Mood Swings

By boyfriend has mood swings avg about every 3 months, he gets angered easy and irritated, he has no real highs, euphoria or any manic behavior. He is normal then goes to lows and depression. He wants to change his life, he wants to be alone and hates himself. He has adhd but not medicated. Does he have a form of bipolar with out the highs or is it adhd?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. High and low moods not necessarily a bi-polar disorder. They could just be disappointment and irritation. You say he has ADHD but never had medication. That could be reason for his high and low moods. Please request him to consult a psychologist or psychiatrist at the earliest.

Psychotherapy techniques should suit your friend's requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
