Suggest The Dosage For Benadryl Taken For Facial Swelling And Teeth Numbness

About 3 hours ago, after a swim noticed puffiness under right eye, numbness of teeth and some facial swelling similar to what I've had in the past to poison ivy. I took 2 benydril and it's remained pretty steady. Should I take 2 more in an hour and wait?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It can be either due to excess chlorine in the water or allergy to any other chemicals..
As Benadryl is a prescription medication and you have already taken you should not take more doses without proper consultation with an Emergency doctor..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated, they can give you a steroid shot to reduce the swelling faster..
For now you can do cool compresses over the swelling..
You can also put chamomile tea bags to reduce swelling and apply cucumber juice over the face..
Splash your face with cold water frequently..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
