Suggest Remedy For Numbness On Inhalation Of Lysol

what to do if breathed a lot of lysol and had it unknown on face for 30 minutes while riding in lysoled car. Just returned from ER treated with benadryl and prednesone for numbness in face and neck/allergic run. numbness is spreading again. they told me to take more benadryl, but numbness is still spreading

The prednisone and initial benadryl will help reduce the inflammatory response the the lysol but it can take a while to have an effect.

The use of steroids and anti histamines are the main stay of treatment for moderate to severe allergic reaction. In very severe cases, additional treatment may be needed but this is not likely the case here.

The numbness should start to decrease.

You can consider taking the second dose of the benadryl 4 to 6 hours from the last dose.
