Suggest Suitable Therapy For ADHD


HI MY SON AGEING 3 YEARS 8 MONTHS IS DIAGNOSED WITH ADHD AND SOME DOCTOR SAY IT IS AUTISM. HE IS HYPER AND DOES NOT SIT QUITE FO MORE THAN 1 MIN. ALWAYS RUNNING AROUND AND HAVE VERY POOR EYE CONTACT.



AS A PARENT WE ARE VERY DEPRESSED AND AVOIDING SOCIAL GATHERINGS AS EVERY ONE ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT MY SON AND GIVES UNSOLICITED ADVISE AND IT BECOMES A SUBJECT FOR VDISCUSSION.

I can understand your concerns.
First of all you should consult with a developmental and behavioural paediatrician and start therapy and medications for him as per his requirement.
Secondly you should accept your child as he is. We should work on his problems to help him but it will be possible only if we accept him and his condition first.
Do not pay heed to unsolicitated advise. Ignoring it is the best way to stop it. Whenever any person says something about him tell them that he is not abnormal but he is a special child with special needs.
