Hi,

The prognosis of a genetic condition depends on the person's signs and symptoms as well as the availability and effectiveness of treatment and management. The prognosis of very rare diseases (such as 1q21.1 microdeletion syndrome) can be hard to predict because so few affected individuals have been found.

You can find more information at genetics home reference (including locations of medical geneticists and genetics counselors).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd,
