As per your complain swelling and with purple discolouration of the cheek at the site of injury can be due to inflammation caused due to injury to the soft tissues and rupture of small blood vessels which causes spillage of blood into the soft tissues causing Hematoma formation,swelling and bruising.. Advil can help in reducing pain and inflammation also to some extent as it has anti-inflammatory action too.. Ice packs can provide local relief from inflammation and helps in faster reduction in bruising as well as swelling.. I would suggest you to consult a Paediatrician and get clinical evaluation done as she has fallen n her cheek there can be chances of cheek bone fracture too.. Application of Heparin Sodium based ointments like thromphob gel (only after testing it over a small region on her palm so as to confirm she is not allergic to it.) can also help in faster reduction of the discolouration and swelling.. Once her pain and discomfort will reduce she can allow for the ice packs..It will be better to do alternate warm and cool packs for faster healing.. Hope this information helps..
