Suggest Side Effects Of Lithosun
what are the side effects of longterm lithosun sr consumptionage = 59yrsheight = 5ft 11inchesweight = 85kgsmedical history = have been suffering from bipolar disorder for the past 25 yrs and have been on medication for 10 yrs or so. Have been taking one Lithosun SR 400 and 1 tab serenace 0.5mg to 1.5mg (depending on condition). Have been feeling some pain in the shoulders and have difficulty in freely rotating my hands. Plase advise.

Lithosun SR contains lithium that is used to treat bipolar disorder, mania and sometimes some behavioral disorders. It may cause painful joints, muscle weakness or aches etc in case of long term use. Other side effects of this medication in case of long term use, are tremors, slurred speech, imbalance, memory impairment, nausea, vomiting, acnes, hair loss, thyroid problems, increased thirst, increased white blood counts, confusion, weight gain, dizziness, headache, changes in vision, excessive air or gas in stomach, allergic reactions etc.
If these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help and your doctor may reduce the current dose of Lithium SR to subside your present sufferings. You should undergo kidney and thyroid function tests routinely in case of long term use of this medication.
