Hi,

I saw your reports. Your bilirubin level is normal to slightly above the normal values. Why are you getting your bilirubin levels repeatedly? Are you symptomatic that means do you have any jaundice, itchiness over your body, increased tiredness, any blood vomiting or blood in stools, bruises over your body or dark urine? What are your main symptoms?

Sometimes, bilirubin level can be slightly high due to enzyme deficiency in our body which controls our bilirubin and nothing can be done in this case. It is called Gilbert syndrome. As far as your treatment is concerned which you received from a doctor, it indicates that you received a multivitamin injection, a steroid and anti acid injection and there was no need for these things.

One thing I would like to ask from you is, how is your mood? Is it high or low? Get your liver function tests done, full liver function tests (S. Bilirubin / total and direct, SGOT / SGPT, S. AlkPo4, S. GGT, S.Albumin, PTI / INR) and get Ultrasound abdomen done.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parvinder Singh, Gastroenterologist, Surgical
