Suggest Remedy To Relieve Breathing Difficulty

Treated for Dermatomyositis and am in remission since 2010 Previously misdiagnosed by 9 doctors in area w/Lupus. I contracted respiratory/sinus infection April 8 & have not been able to breath since. All docs here & ER visit not helped. X-ray & ct clear. Apt in Oct at Johns Hopkins who treated in 08-2010. Do not know where to turn re breathing difficulty Tks Doreen

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Dermatomyositis can cause pulmonary hypertension (PHT) as a complication.
In pulmonary hypertension, patient can get cough,breathing difficulty etc.
Chest x ray and CT are normal in this.
PHT can cause restrictive lung defect,which aggravate breathing difficulty.
So consult cardiologist and get done 2d echo to rule out PHT.
Consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out restrictive lung defect.
