Hi thanks for asking question. In the toe nail mostly due to improper cleaning , fungus infection chances are more. In this infection lesions itchy with peeling and somewhat foul smelling. So better to treat it first as fungal infection. Apply antifungal cream over that like clotrimazole. Oral itraconazole also helpful. Wash your hand after touching infected nail. Avoid moisture between nails.Use soaks that reduce moisture. Clean soak has to be wear. Don t walk bare foot in public place. Avoid using nail polish.
