Suggest Remedies For Infection In Toe Nail

my husband has a toenail fungus - I am now starting to have the tip of my large toenail getting dark and thick . My other toenails are getting thick too. I also have cracks in the bottom of my feet and thick scaly skin on my big toe. What can I do? Is there a home remedy? Lamisil seems to take the pain away and shows slight improvement.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems that your husband may be having onychomycosis with Tinea pedis. It is a fungal infection of toenail and surrounding skin. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take tab fluconazole under supervision of your doctor. Apply clotrimazole lotion on Neil and surrounding skin. Avoid contact with soap and detergents. Keep the area dry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
