Suggest Remedy For Yeast Infection

I am going on a six day bike tour day after tomorrow and have come down with a yeast infection and I'm very worried about wearing bike shorts for 3-5 hours a day will worsen it. I have used a one day OTC miconazole suppository, but other than that, I don't know what else to do. Would a natural supplement, like garlic or yogurt be worth a try as well?

Hello,

I suppose the yeast infection is on your groin? If that's the case you can use an antifungal cream (fluconazole for example) for a couple of weeks or for at least a few days after the yeast has completely recovered.

Oral treatment has some benefits and you can also use fluconazole by mouth for the same amount of time. It's better if a dermatologist diagnosed it though.

I don't believe that natural supplements or any other non-pharmaceutical product would offer any help. Don't forget to keep the area clean and dry. Avoid leaving your wet shorts on, after exercising!

Kind Regards!
