Suggest Remedy For Tongue Pain And Soreness In Mouth
Hi. I had an upper respiratory infection in early May and was prescribed Levofloxacin 500mg for 10 days. After 9 days of treatment I discontinued the drug because I was having tongue pain and soreness in my mouth. It is still happening and I am wondering if this is a common side effect of this drug? I don t feel it is severe enough for me to see a doctor, but it is bothersome every single day. I would just really like to know if it was caused by taking the medication, or if it might be from something else. Thanks!

levofloxacin is not known to cause any side effect like tongue pain and soreness in mouth. may because of stress from your illness you might have got some ulcers in mouth. if i were your treating physician i would have given
1. cap. becosules once daily for 15 days
2. dentogel for local application on tongue and mouth
