My daughter, who is 12, was prescribed Predcort DS 10mg/5ml for an allergic reaction that cased her eyelid to swell. She is allergic to many things, but typically we don't have any problems. She also has mild asthma. She may wheeze when over-exerting herself, but she's never had an "asthma attack".
We were on vacation, and the physician wrote the instructions on the box. They are a bit difficult to read, but she weights 62lbs, and was told to take 10mls for the first 3 days after a meal. Then 7.5mls on days 4 and 5. Today is day 6 and it says to take 2.5mls today and tomorrow. That seems like a big decrease for tapering off a prednisone containing product, but it's certainly not my specialty.
