Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat With White Spots And Choking Cough
Hi doctor, I have been experiencing sore throat with white spots since 2 weeks ago. went on a course of antibiotic, the sore throat went off but there was dry cough then. After the completion of the antibiotic, the sore throat came back again with white spots and the cough seemed to be more serious. It is a choking cough and i went coughing non stop in the middle of the night as the throat is too dry and irritated. went on another course of antibiotic but the sore throat does not seemed to go away. In fact, the white spots went traveled to another side of my throat and the cough is still there. What should i do now? should i get seek for another stronger antibiotic or should i just wait for it to recover itself. How do i determine if is a virus or bacteria? Please help as i m suffering for over past 2 weeks.

You have chronic illness of sore throat with white spots, now you are also experiencing choking cough. You were on prescription medicine and now you are experiencing relapse of the same symptoms. You should get repeat throat swabs and sputum examinations done, you will be treated with specific antibiotics. In the meantime, take vitamin C, once daily. Take a course of Augmentin orally for relief. Take antihistamines, one at bed time.
Talk less, give voice rest. Gargle with warm salt water 2-3 times a day and stay away from addictions if any. Stay away from stress (both physical and emotional). Stress often triggers sore throat and symptoms. Take vitamin E, Evion - 400mg for 20 days. Take liquid diet or semi solid diet so that you do not hurt your throat. Take lozenges from time to time to numb the trigger factors. Take Grilinctus-L for dry cough.
