Suggest Remedy For Sore And Red Vagina Due To Peeling Skin Around Vagina After Having Sex For The First Time

I have peeling skin around the entrance to my vagina and up to my clitoris, and it has made the area rather sore and red, especially when I pee. This is following sex with my boyfriend for the first time, so I was wondering what this could be, and if there is a way of helping it to heal?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

This might be a vaginal yeast infection or a reaction to condoms / latex. It is very important for you to schedule a visit with your OB/GYN to get this checked out. Also, if you used condoms, you need allergy testing to see if you are latex allergic. In the meantime, apply some hydrocortisone cream to the areas affected while you wait for an appointment and avoid intercourse until this is sorted out.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
