Suggest Remedy For Severe Itching With History Of Cancer

Hello. My friend is living with cancer. His bile duct is now blocked and his skin is jaundice the itch in his skin is preventing his ability to sleep (and his family s ability to sleep). What else can we try to prevent his itching. His skin is bleeding. Please any advise you can offer will be appriciated.

Severe itching over skin could be connected with his jaundice most probably obstructive jaundice which needs immediate medical attention.

So,you should seek some routine blood works,liver function tests,urine reports and ultrasound of hepato-billiary region.

I think you should see gastroenterologist to diagnose the correct underlying problem and get treated.

Meanwhile,you can take over the counter anti-histamines like cetrizine 10 mg or fexofenadine 120 mg twice daily for symptomatic relief.
