Suggest Remedy For Severe Hair Loss After Dengue And Typhoid Attack

Hi, i am 19 years old, male. I suffered from dengue and typhoid during the years 2010,2011. Since then i am suffering from extreme hair loss from all over my body. I know that hair loss is common just after the illness, but its been almost 3 years now and the hair loss still has not stopped. What could be the cause ? And what should i do?

My Dear,

Welcome to this site!

I have noted your concerns and feel that you are having Telogen Effluvium.
Any fever is a kind of stressful situation and our body takes sometime to recover from the effects of the same. It has been now many years that you had a bout of twin infections. I would like to evaluate the possibility of another cause that might be resulting in hair loss.

Had you been visiting me, I would have advised blood tests and checked your hormonal status after examining you thoroughly. I would have specifically had your iron levels and thyroid status checked to ensure that these are within normal range.

I might have considered you providing hair stimulants like Folica and Biotin vitamin tablets for hair regrowth.

I think, in situation like yours, one should avoid combing wet hairs, desist from massage, and pay greater attention to healthy diet and physical activity simultaneously

Most patients report improvement with suggestions outlined above.
I am sure you too can gain from this information.

Our best wishes!
