Suggest Remedy For Pus Pockets In Low Eyelid

I have a blocked tear duct that has gotten infected. I ve seen my physician and he prescribed an eye drop medication four days ago. Now I have a pus pocket on the inside of my lower eye lid. Should I return to the doctor or let the medication continue to work?

Ophthalmologist Dr. Anupama Desai's  Response
Hello,

It depends on the extent of the infection . Only antibiotic eye drops may not be sufficient. A short course of oral antibiotics would be better if there are pus pockets in the eyelid. You can consult your doctor after 3 days if the signs remain the same. In the meanwhile start giving warm compresses to the eyelid, for 10 minutes, thrice a day.
