I have plantar fasciitis in both feet. My one foot I ve had about nine months. I have been through therapy but still have swelling around the edge of my heels which causing discomfort. I also have strained tendons. I do daily stretching, soaking in epsom salts and using a frozen water bottle. How long does this condition last. I have good shoes and inserts.
Dear patient You have plantar fascitis on both sides. First line treatment for it is use of soft Chappals and anti inflammatory medication which usually relieves pain. Since both measures are not helping, you should go for local infiltration of injection depomedrol which helps in relieving inflammation and pain and gives long term relief. You can consult orthopaedic surgeon nearby you for depomedrol injection. Up to three injections can be given at the interval of 1 month. All the best.
