Suggest Remedy For Persistent Pain In Arches Of Feet

I have been having pain in the arches of my feet for about a year now. I have to put arch support in my tennis shoes at all times to stop the arches from getting so painful I have difficulty walking. If I go without arch supports in my shoes the pain gets worse to where I can barely walk. Rest and putting the supports in my shoes makes the pain get better but it never goes all the way away

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely plantar fasciitis. Inflammation or anatomical deformation in plantar fascia can be the reason of this.
Using orthoses or arch supporters will be helpful for this. It is better to continue using your arch support. Ice pack application 15 to 20 minutes at a time on and off 3 to 4 times daily also is good.
If not helping then you can approach an orthopedician or podiatrician to get a design of proper orthoses or arch support. A consultation with a physical therapist is also recommended. He/she will instruct you with a series of exercises to strengthen the muscles of leg , achilles tendon and to stretch plantar fascia. Night splints to stretch the calf and arch of foot is also advised by physical therapist.
If these measures not helping then corticosteroid injections on tender points will be helpful.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
