Suggest Remedy For Persistent Nasal Congestion And Bleeding

About 3 times each day both of my nostrils feel dry and irritated, and a "blocked" feeling. When I blow my nose, some bleeding occurs so I rinse with water until it stops. The bleeding concerns me. Should I see a physician? (this has occurred for about 1 month)

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that dryness and irritation in nostrils can be due to causes like sinusitis, severe cold and flu or upper respiratory tract infection, allergic reaction etc..
As there is irritation in the nostrils there seems to be inflammation and when you blow nose bleeding occurs due to either injury to mucosa or ruptured blood vessels..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and nasal endoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to do saline nasal rinses to prevent congestion..
In case if sinus infection is ruled out you can be advised to take antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller, decogestants and also avoid vigorous snuffing of the nose..
You can also apply petroleum jelly inside nostrils to lubricate and soothe..
