Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have diaherra for a while. It is like bulk. I see no blood. Doctor took a sample and I have to wait. May be I am trying fiber diet. Is there a treatment for me. Dr. thinks I got it from eating out having a salad. Hope there is tratment for me.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms of loose motions that is occurring in bulk can be due to causes like viral gastroenteritis, food poisoning, parasitic infestation, food intolerance, electrolyte imbalance etc.. As of now you should start taking anti diarrhea medication like Loperaminde, take fluid replacement therapy that is drink plenty of oral rehydration salts by dissolving in water and take more of banana, yoghurt, rice and cereals.. Once the reports of your investigations will be available you can be advised antibiotics, Albendazole etc depending upon the cause diagnosed.. If it is due to food allergies the cause will be ruled out and eliminated from your diet..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
