Suggest Remedy For Pain In Ear

Hi, I had a bad ear infection six month ago after a bad cold which was cured by antibiotics but since the I have been getting sharp pains in the same ear that comes and goes in spurts. The pain lasts for a few seconds every 20 to 30 seconds but I ll have it all day on/off. It s really annoying. Could it be a nerve damage? I would appreciate any advise or help. Thank you in advance.

Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a nerve damage or an inner ear disorder.

For this reason, I recommend consulting with the ENT specialist. Performing a brain MRI may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
