Hi,

Can you mention report of his serum creatinine and blood urea? What we can do forward is to prevent further episodes of urine infection at any cost. Getting back the affected kidney normal is not possible, but single functioning kidney is enough for a healthy life. Depending on the number of episodes, this might need regular antibiotic prophylaxis after doing MCU test and ultrasound abdomen.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
