From the available description it appears that your son is self medicating himself for family problem which is more dangerous than any kind of depression and anxiety. He needs medical treatment preferably from a psychiatrist. If he is not willing for treatment that indicates probably he lost the capacity to consent and in that case help of law enforcing agencies can be sought out.
