Suggest Remedy For Knee Pain

hello, I fell hard on both my knees but my right knee took most of my weight first. I fell on concrete and it was on July 3rd, 2011. I had a normal bruise on that went away but i noticed that it left what looked like a bruise under my skin and it won t go away. When I kneel on it sometimes it almost has a tearing sensation. I m a 28 yr old female wondering if I should have my knee checked out. I m unsure of how much damage I did to it.

Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to a ligament or menisque rupture. I recommend consulting with an orthopedist for a physical exam. Performing a knee MRI may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
