Suggest Remedy For Itchy Raised Spot Caused By Insect Bite

I have what I thought was a mosquito bite on the inside of my thigh but now I think it may be a spider bite. There are 2 small puncture marks on a red, raised, itchy spot. It has not been painful, but my skin is bruised in an irregular 3" area around it and is sore like a bruise. Should I be concerned?

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain red, raised itchy spots with two puncture marks can be due to any insect/bug/spider bite and the redness and swollen area can be due to toxin that is present in the sting that gets injected under the skin and cause allergic reaction..
Nothing to worry as it will get resolved soon.
You can take anti allergic medication like Levocetrizine or Fexofenadine (Allegra) and apply a combination of antibiotic and steroid ointment over the inflamed site..
You can also do cool compresses..
Hopefully it will resolve in a week..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
