10 years ago at 24 I had my tonsils and uvula removed. I often have issues when I eat of food going up in my sinus. Well tonight I was eating a chip I felt a piece go in my sinus so I went to blow my nose. When I blew I got extremely dizzy and felt it lodge in my ear canal. I can feel it. It hurts. I m having a little hearing loss. What do I do? It s Painful.
You might have a patulous Eustachian tube and a perforation in the ear drum; nothing connected with your surgery though. It could also be because of extreme changes in ear pressure due to nose blowing. Regurgitation of food and fluids through the nose could result from removal of the tonsils and uvula- I'm intrigued....was the uvula removed to control snoring? One way or the other, you would have to see a doctor- either to remove the particle which you believe is stuck in your ear, or simply to reassure you that a pressure effect caused the problem.
