Suggest Remedy For Headache

I am a sixty two year old female . I have had a headache on the left side of my head for thirty hours. I have taken Tylenol with no relief. I take Allegra for allergies. I also have type 2 diabetes and take insulin once a day. I had the lower one of my right lung remove in Jan. of 2012 due to tumor. This headache is very concerning but I am not sure if it warrants going to the emergency room.

Hello dear,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.Most common epidemiological and clinical cause of acute onset hemicranial(left side) headache is Migraine.Migraine does not usually respond to Tylenol. Alternatively, but less likely,it can be TTH(Tension type headache) or some secondary headache. Please answer a few questions so that I can answer your query better-
1)Are you having nausea?
2)Does the headache increase on exposure to light or sound?
3)Are you having any visual aura like seeing flashing of lights or zig-zag lights?
4)Are you having double vision, facial deviation or vertigo?

Please ask a follow up question with above details so that I can answer your query better.Meanwhile,if your headache severity increases and it becomes intolerable, please visit an emergency room urgently.I hope it helps.
