General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to gout. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. Cold compresses can also be helpful. To treat the gout I recommend specific treatment such as Allopurinol which is a prescription treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
