Suggest Remedy For Frequent Urge To Urinate And Cramping Pain In Bladder

Hi. Last night i was awake all night with the feeling that i needed to wee but couldnt and when i tried i had severe pain and blood in my urine. The feeling is not so strong today but i still feel like i need a wee constantly and have a cramp pain in my bladder. Is this cystitis? I have never had it before so unsure. Thanks.

Hello,

Exactly as you spotted it can be cystitis.
You may need to do a urine analysis and uroculture to check for infection.
I could have treated you empirically with bactrim.
Also, remember to drink lots of fluids and water and cranberry juice especially.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
