Suggest Remedy For Fever With Swollen Lymph Nodes

I had strep starting on Aug 26th. High fever, pus pockets the whole thing. Doctor gave me an antiobiotic. One week later still having trouble, gave me a shot and another antibiotic. Shot helped somewhat now this morning woke up and couldn't swallow, lymphnodes swollen, bad pus pocket way down deep. Went back to the dr. He says cant be strep. What on earth could it be. It is very painful, making my jaw and ear hurt as well

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and concern.
Yes this is a serious matter for which I would advise all such patients to get admitted to a Hospital as you need intravenous fluids and antibiotics and supportive treatment.
Whether strep or not the treatment does not differ much.
You need to undergo the blood and urine tests, Swab from the infected part for gram staining, culture and sensitivity.
These reports will help for a better treatment.
Take a full course of 3 weeks, take bed rest for an early recovery .

I find this answer helpful
