Suggest Remedy For Cold And Chest Tightness

I have a very very bad cold am coughing very bad am nnot bringing up any flem but I am getting to feel tight around the chest like a vice i cough this ;morning and it hurt my back can i just drink hot tea and lemon ,liquids etc....had a good lunch am i ok lovegrandkidz@att. should I keeping tgaking dr. med pencillin thank ysou

You didnt mention that whether your cough is with sputum or not. If you are not having any sputum or secretion when you cough then you should take cough suppressant tablet like codeine. Take any anti-histaminics like cetrizine or chlorpheniramine and nasal decongestant like phenylephrine. If penicillin is advised by your physician, continue with it.
Meanwhile you do warm salt water gargling thrice daily. This will soothe your throat and relieve cough.
