A choledochal cyst is an abnormal dilatation of the bile duct and could very well explain all the symptoms you have been having. A choledochal cyst can be complicated by recurrent infections, stone formation, jaundice and is also a risk factor for development of cancer. So we usually surgically resect the chole-dochal cyst.
