Suggest Remedy For Bleeding After Taking Postinor 2

Hi, I am Meg, 31 years old. I had my period on 17 Oct and had sex on 23rd. My boyfriend asked me take postinor 2 just incase and I did. Am concerned because I started bleeding ystdy, 31st. Am still bleeding now and I want to know what may be the cause and how to stop it

Thanks for writing to us.

You did safe sex and took Postinor-2 additionally, which will give extra protection against unwanted pregnancy. Here, chance of pregnancy is extremely RARE or NIL.

You got withdrawal bleeding on 31st due to effect of Postinor-2 and it is quite common side effect. Bleeding will stop automatically within 2-4 days in most cases.

If bleeding continues more than 4 days or heavily, I can suggest you to take Tranexamic Acid 500 mg twice daily for 3 days to arrest bleeding.

Maintain genital hygiene and practice safe sex in future. Good luck.
