Suggest Remedy For Anxiety

Dear Doc,
I am suffering from Anxiety disorder and got some anxiety attacks too last year. Had been through very stressful states of life since teenage. Have tried homeopathy, floral extracts, some antidepressents. Now have been put on Alprax but dont want to take alopathic medicine for long.

I have to perform as I am doing my PhD but this anxiety is such a hinderance..I am at Udaipur..Doing Yoga, good diet...advise please

Hi.

I had gone through your query.

Anxiety disorder can ne treated with medicine and behaviour therapy.

Only alprax can not help.

Homeopathy also not useful. It can be treated with medicine like combination of SSRI and benzodiazapine.

In SSRI sertraline / escitalopram / peroxetine will reduce anxiety disorder.
Duration is depend upon severity of disorder.
Behaviour therapy like CBT means cognitive behaviour therapy is useful.

Consult psychiatrist and get help.
