General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Having DNS that is deviated nasal septum is a hindrance in some services like defence forces, airlines, high altitude works and so on.
Secondly whatever the job may be, such DNS that is symptomatic is not good for your health too.
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Consult an ENT Surgeon for ENT Endoscopy to see for the extent of deviation, any other problems like hypertrophied turbinates, postnasal drip and changes in ears and throat.
- CT scan of nose and sinuses.
- Relevant tests of blood.
Get the surgery done for correction of DNS and also for any secondary changes it created.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
