I had a sinus infection 4 weeks and now I have a Upper Resp. infection and have been on Levaquin for 5 days. I still have a runny nose and bad cough and have developed an earache in my left ear! When I blow my nose, which is often, I have a horrible pain in my ear. It eases up some after about 30 minutes, but there is still an ache. I also was prescribed Nasonex twice a day. What else should I do or should I go back to my doctor?
Hello, You still have infection in the nose and the ears . You need to take antibiotics and oral decongestants and nasal decongestant drops. In addition to nasonex nasal sprays. Consult your doctor and take amoxicillin and clavulinic acid antibiotics . If there is infection in the nose then do not blow it will spread to the ears and the dirty mucus will fall in the throat and create the infection in the throat. In doubt do reply.
