my daughter is 2 years old she has what the doctor called a sist on her eye. it is on the upper lid of her eye now the lower has become infected, i was given an antiboiotic it is all breaking out yellow but the sist remains the same should i get a second opinion? do you think the sist should dissapear with the infection?
An infected cyst on the eyelid is most likely to be a stye. It should subside and disappear with the infection and antibiotics would be helpful. Just remember to give warm compresses for 10 minutes, thrice a day. It sounds difficult in a 2 year old child but you could still give it a try. Do not use too hot water. Apply on your cheek to know what heat would be right for her.
Thank you and best wishes
