Suggest Remedies For Bleeding Through Gums Of My Child

My daughter (2.5 yrs) has a bleeding spot on her front gums. We first noticed yesterday that it was a bit red but when brushing her teeth this morning, the spot was bleeding quite extensively. She is probably too little to rinse her mouth with over the counter medicine. Any advice on how to treat this infection (other than softly brushing)?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain a bleeding spot on the front gum that bled on trauma with toothbrush when you tried to brush her teeth seems to be either due to infection in the area of gums leading to a boil formation or can be due to any previous trauma in this area of gums that might has caused with toothbrush, impaction of any hard foods in the gums etc..

I would suggest you to consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and he can do a deep scaling in that area to ensure that there is not no longer any food impaction or infection in that area..

It will be followed by advising you to apply gum paint in the area and also gargling with antiseptic mouthwash suitable for toddlers..
Use a soft toothbrush to brush her teeth..
Give her soft diet and do cool compresses over the area to stop it from bleeding..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
