Suggest Remedies For A Small Tumor On The Pituitary Gland

I am currently seeing a neurologist, first and foremost I have a small tumor on the pituitary gland it has remained the same size for over a year. But, several weeks ago I had an episode that felt like an explosion in the left rear of my skull. Since that time I have had blurry vision in my left eye and chronic headaches, the headaches fluctuate from mildly irritating to excruciating with loss of vision in the left eye. I have also had blackouts along with these issues. The current prognosis I need to get the pressure checked in the left eye for glycoma. Any thoughts.

Hi,

Depends on the tumor. Some secrete prolactin, and drugs that turn off the production of prolactin might lower the tumor. But other tumors of the pituitary do not involve hormone secretion and require surgery. Some symptoms like headache and vision are often associated with these tumors and structures involving vision are right there. Symptoms further from the area of the tumor are less likely to be due to it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
