What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

MRI result of the pituitary gland reads: Equivocal hypoenhancing focus within the right pituitary gland measuring 4 mm with slight deviation of the pituitary stalk to the left. Findings could relate to a pituitary macroadenoma. So is this a 4 mm pituitary gland tumor then?

It can be a pituitary microadenoma, but most important is why you did this examination; did you have any pituitary related problem (a secreting microadenoma or nonsecreting). You have to check the pituitary hormones with a endocrinologist (prolactina, ACTH, growth hormone etc..). Because if you don't have problems then you need only to do follow ups every year. If you have hormone pituitary relating problems than you need to do treatments according to the pathology you have, but most of the time you need just to take some pills.
