Welcome to HCM. This can be a real concern for any mother and you are taking steps in the right direction to educate yourself about this problem. The important things that you should focus on is to be able to see your gynecologist on a short notice incase the bleeding starts again. Your gynecologist might recommend regular weekly ultrasound tests depending on your condition. This condition can range from mild to severe. We give steroids to some patients to help in the lung maturity of the baby in order to facilitate early delivery. In mild cases vaginal delivery is done but in most of the cases c-section is done. If the bleeding starts, it is imortant to immediately go to a hospital. They will give you fluids and will check your heart rate and blood pressure. Sometimes steriods are also given.
