Suggest Precautions For Ear And Nose Blockage With Headache

For a couple of years i have had a blocked right nostril, blocked sinus (etd?) and blocked right ear, gradually getting worse, causing me to whisper as voice volume in my head becomes too loud to stand. I feel it is getting worse as am not one to have headaches but on two occasions i have felt a headache coming on. Also I feel it may be progressing to the right ear. Any suggestions on coping with all this please.

Hi,

Noted your history of blocked right nostril, blocked right sinus, headache, volume getting loud in head, wants to know further. Sine your symptoms are suggestive of right nasal blockage causing its complications like you have mentioned I would advise you the following:
* Consult an ENT Surgeon for ENT endoscopy
* CT can of nose and sinuses to know the cause and its complications
* Relevant tests of blood

All these will give a proper diagnosis, the most common of which are:
- DNS that is deviated nasal septum
- Polyps
- Hypertrophied that is enlarged masses called turbinates

Once a proper diagnosis is made medical treatment can be tried for 3 weeks and if it fails to relieve your symptoms surgery can be planned as per the causes found.
