Typhoid is infectious disease spread by feco oral route. So good hand hygiene is must before eating, before and after defeacation. Family members should also follow this. Avoid out side food, steal food. Give simple home based food which is easy to digest. Avoid oily, spicy, fat food. Avoid non vegetarian food atleast for 1 month. Consult pediatrician for vaccination.and with proper rest and food habits, it takes usually 20-30 days to recover from typhoid and attend school.
