Suggest Minimum Eyesight For Safe Driving

My 16 yr old son has had declining vision since he was first placed in eyeglasses at 6 yrs of age. He has been wearing contact lenses for a short while and was recently told that contact lenses were not in his best interest as he is currently seeing 20/40, the minimum eyesight for safe driving in SC. Do you agree? If so, can you please explain how contact lenses will cause greater harm to his vision vs eyeglasses.

Hi
Contact lens, if there is no corneal reaction, is ok with him. There is no harm in wearing it.proper maintainance of lenses is imp.
Rather one may feel better with CL.
